Overview Major Face lift

   Posted by: Black_Smoke Tags:

Wow!, that was my first reaction when I saw the new overview look.  Red tabs! A bit confused their. It has a story also of my character.

The story describes in a fascinating way what old overview had in plain aligned text. Now about those tabs, 6 in total. Five of them are tasks.

  1. Go Fishing
  2. Go Mining
  3. Visit Gym
  4. Go Lumbering
  5. Go Joust
  6. R (reset tokens)

At first this tabs are red which means you need to to do those tasks, when you complete each task the tab gets green.

Now with this new look makes me want to to do joust just for the tab to get green. I do first 4 tasks except Jousting. I hate jousting but I also hate to see one tab red and all others green.

Very nice update indeed, saves you a lot of clicks and time when you want to navigate through Westland, especially when you are in a hurry to do reset stuff before going to work.

I wonder if more tabs can be added. Hmm…, I should think of some and post in Ideas forum.

P. S. Dammit!, I have to Joust 2 times a day!

Seriously? Disease…

The long waited Rebuild is almost done. Westland will change dramatically. This change includes updates that are mainly based on active players feedback. One of the updates that flipped my mind is Disease. Who ever said he was bored with the game, this update he will be busy enough, every single revive.

Whenever I get the disease I will have to cure myself. In order to achieve a cure I will have to go to Wizard Ruben. I never thought I would visit this old man again and he smells funny. Oh man.., in order to complete my healing I will need to spend some time in his smelly small shack. I hope he can give me his list of things I will need to bring to him fast. It’s said that fish might be included in his list, eww… I don’t like smelly fish, maybe this is why he smells funny.

Another likely solution is I could just add some AP in the new stat, called Immunity, adding some AP in this stat might be worth it. This stat will help me avoid the old man. I even thought I could just stay ill and don’t get healed, guess I was wrong! My disease can spread if I don’t get healed, that means it can spread to other players. Bring it on! I will get what the old man asks me too and I wont have to worry about lower earnings or spreading my disease to other players.

What I enjoy in DW

Hello, everyone, its me Black Smoke here to try out this blogging thing. I know a lot of you think I may not like the game, but here are some things that I do like. I hope you find it to be interesting.

Well first and foremost, I believe the most important factor is that the game is text based, that means no need for 3D graphics card. There is also no need to save your progress, it’s done automatically in milliseconds, this is great now it won’t waste space on my computer. Another great asset is the Community, you can make friends and enemies very fast. This could be good, but also bad, it all depends on what you are looking for.

You can achieve a lot in this game because you are competing with real people and people have weaknesses. For example: anxiety is a big one, this can lead to fast and false decisions that can benefit your character. One of my personal favorites is when newbies place stones in the markets at very low prices, I’m always surprised when I see that, it never gets old.

The game has a lot of things to keep you busy, being as active as I am helps me a lot. Excitement levels can also be very high, same as disappointment sometimes, but failures help you get better in the game, this even happens in real life.

The game is not limited to people versus people as some games are; NPC (non-player character) are included also. I’m glad that you can kill a NPC and don’t get any angry mails. From time to time competitions are held and you can earn big prizes, this is always a good thing. The game is being updated all the time and that keeps my interest at high levels. Finally, some updates that I don’t like actually prevents me from getting bored in the game.

I’ve shared some of my reasons why I like the game, what about you?
